White Matter Brain Cancer Trust

Objective:

To launch the recently established White Matter Brain Cancer Trust in Christchurch and provide a platform to increase awareness, foster engagement and generate donations.   

Activity:

360 Degree Events was engaged to design and produce a launch event and celebration incorporating a fundraising element. 

To stand apart from other charity events, the White Bow Tie Soiree brand was designed to provide a visual motif of support.  Guests were all sent their own white satin bow tie and were encouraged to wear it as a symbol of their support for the new Trust. 

Tait Technology Centre was the venue for the White Bow Tie Soiree – a dinner and charity auction.  Hon. Bill English proposed a toast to officially launch the Trust and, following formalities, guests enjoyed a three-course meal by Eaton Drink Co. and entertainment by The Goldonies.

The charity auction featured unique experiences, holiday packages, jewellery and artwork, sold under the expert hammer of Harcourts Grenadier Auctioneer, Ned Allison who was energetic and entertaining in his efforts to garner bids.

Result:

180 invited guests enjoyed an evening of fine food, wine and entertainment and participated in a lively charity auction.  The sell-out event raised more than $104,000.00 in support of the White Matter Brain Cancer Trust.
